Non-accessible content
The website www.split-airport.hr is compliant with the Act in force since 23 September 2019, with the following exceptions:
- The main structural elements of the website, except the homepage, do not use HTML5 semantic elements (header, footer, nav, section, article, aside) instead of div elements, which would help screen readers recognize the meaning of each element and help blind and visually impaired users know when they are moving from one section, chapter, or category of content to another
- In cases where a screen reader does not recognize an element and/or incorrectly relays the information, the information is not conveyed on all web pages and via audio playback.
- Images and complex images on all web pages do not always have a description in Croatian that contains key information about what the image depicts.
- Links are not always descriptive to indicate the content behind them.
- Not all links open in the same browser window.
- Voice commands are not used
- There is no alternative way of presenting information, such as audio recordings.
- Interactive elements such as icons in a small number of cases do not have labels indicating where they lead.
- Most images are decorative or used solely for visual design. According to section 5.1.3.6. of the European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1 (2021-03), they do not (and do not have to) have alternative descriptions. A minor number of images and files lack an appropriate textual description (alt tag text).
- PDF files on web pages are partially generated by scanning printed documents. Therefore, they are not accessible as they are not properly prepared for screen readers.
