Customs

Croatia has been a member state of the European Union since 2013, and a Schengen area member since 2023. As such, all EU customs laws and regulations apply in Croatia.

Who needs to go through customs?

Passengers are required to clear customs at Split Airport if flight destination is outside Schengen area.

Traveling with € 10,000 or more

Travelling with €10,000 or more is not a problem, but please declare it to customs before entering or leaving the EU.

Tax refund

The Customs Office for tax refund verification is located next to check-in counter number 1. The goods for which you are requesting a tax refund must be presented to the customs officer.
