Limitation on the number of ground handling service providers
In accordance with Article 9, Paragraph 3 of the Regulation on the Provision of Ground Handling Services (NN 61/15) and the request of Zračna luka Split d.o.o. for the limitation of the number of ground handling service providers, and with the prior opinion of the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure has issued a decision limiting the number of ground handling service providers at Split Airport to two (2).
The provision of ground handling services is regulated by the Act on Airports (NN 78/15, 14/11, 19/98), the Air Transport Act (NN 92/14, 127/13, 54/13, 84/11, 69/09), the Regulation on the Provision of Ground Handling Services (NN 61/15), and the CCAA Security Directive (SD-2010-05). Airlines may perform ground handling services independently in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned acts. Ground handling service providers may apply to the CCAA for approval to provide ground handling services in accordance with these regulations.
